Martin is an award-winning writer, editor, adviser and speaker on environmental solutions and sustainable futures. He has written for the likes of The Guardian, The Times, New Scientist and Newsweek and interviewed business and political leaders from Paul Polman to David Cameron. As both a journalist and Visiting Judge for the Ashden Awards, Martin has travelled extensively in Asia and Africa, reporting on and assessing small- and large-scale sustainability projects, particularly in the energy field, in everything from remote rural regions to urban slum communities. Martin has worked with leaders at the likes of Greenpeace, WWF, Unilever, Sainsbury’s, Marine Stewardship Council, UK DfID, Sustainable Development Commission, Rewilding Britain and the British Council.

Martin is a advisor and judge for the Global Good Awards and shares the co-hosting role at the Awards Ceremony with Louisa Harris.
