Kate A Larsen has lived her purpose in causing and influencing dignity at work and sustainability in global supply chains for over 20 years. A Chinese speaker, she lived and worked in China and Asia over 11 years causing factory workplace improvements and Scope 3 emissions reductions (carbon, water). A business human rights due diligence for ESG advocate and trainer, she delivers trainings on Social Impacts as Faculty on Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership Courses, on plastic waste picker livelihood improvements for CleanHub, on Responsible Sourcing strategy to other firms, and as Founding Director SupplyESChange, the Online Course on ESG in Supply Chains to leading Investment firm professionals.
Kate frequently trains on engaging Chinese and Asia suppliers, and has been featured on the BBC and other media on interviewing Uyghur workers in forced labour in China, and Chinese in modern slavery in Italy. She led projects on Womens Empowerment for The World Bank, worker helplines, and for emissions reductions. A Trustee for The Rights Practice charity, she input to standards on Human Rights Watch team, for Fashion Revolution, Green Choice Alliance, Corporate Human Rights Benchmark, and more. Her MSc Environmental Management thesis was on preventing emissions pollution from China suppliers.
